The project faced permitting challenges due to a perennial stream in the backyard. Once approved we had to build a wall to gain access to the back yard. The project has an outdoor kitchen, hot tub, fireplace, and a pool with a built-in water feature.
There were numerous difficulties with the project stemming from pool house to the automatic cover needing to be retrofitted to clear the reclaimed granite water feature. The planning involved in the project allowed us to have a fully integrated landscape lighting package, irrigation, gas and electrical throughout the entire project.
Overall the project took two months to design, two months to permit, and 6 months to build.
Swimming Pool with Extras
Spa
A pool yard would not be complete without a spa. In order for our clients to be able to use the spa year round, it is not connected to the pool. Consequently, it is adjacent to the house and has separate utilities that are located indoors. We constructed the sides of the jacuzzi using a solid slab of granite on all four sides.
Outdoor Kitchen
All that fun in the sun is bound to make you hungry. There’s nothing better than a fully equipped outdoor kitchen to feed all of the hungry swimmers in your backyard. The 10′ kitchen island includes an L shaped extension, complete with granite countertops.
Fireplace
Just in case there’s a chill in the air as the summer nights get a little shorter, our clients will find plenty of warmth around this beautiful outdoor fireplace. There’s no better way to make your summer last a little longer. To complete the poolside backyard makeover, we installed sod and native plants according to the the garden design that we created for our client.
